FitLAB Pilates strives to bring science-based exercise methodology to our clients. Located next to high-tech Kendall Square, FitLAB Pilates offers an intelligent way to exercise for intelligent people. Pilates is an education in the finer workings of the body. That knowledge will help you improve your posture and move with more grace and ease. Commit to two sessions a week at FitLAB, and you’ll see real changes in the way your body looks and feels within just a few weeks.

Sarah was a dancer and dance instructor until a series of foot and knee injuries sidelined her career. During her physical therapy, Sarah realized that her training had been one-dimensional, leaving her vulnerable to injury. She decided to learn more about fitness, anatomy, and kinesiology. She became a fitness professional to share her new knowledge with others, and to help others feel better and be healthier.


Sarah chose to pursue Pilates Instructor Certification through STOTT PILATES© because of the method’s scientific approach, which incorporates modern knowledge of exercise physiology and anatomy into the classic Pilates repertoire.

Pai-Ling first met Sarah as a student in Sarah’s Cardio Funk class at the MIT gym (no longer offered). Pai-Ling hated the treadmill and the elliptical, but found that she loved to dance for exercise. She hired Sarah as her Personal Trainer. Sarah created fun dance routines for Pai-Ling to complement full-body strength routines. Before long, Pai-Ling was stronger than she’d ever been.


After over two years of training with Sarah, Pai-Ling decided to get a first-hand education in entrepreneurship by helping Sarah open FitLAB Pilates. She still works out with Sarah twice a week, learning dance routines while burning calories. She also often attends the Cardio Funk class at FitLAB, Wednesdays at 6:30 PM.
